TSN Radio 1150 in Hamilton hits the
airwaves this Labour Day (Monday, September 7). The station’s all-sports
programming is also available online at TSN.ca,
and via the TSN GO
app.
The city’s first all-sports radio
station kicks off with live programming from Tim Hortons Field with Mark’s
Labour Day Weekend, featuring the Hamilton Tiger-Cats taking on the Toronto
Argonauts, as the long-time rivals battle for first place in the CFL’s East
Division.
TSN 1150’s daily sports related
programming begins Tuesday, featuring two new locally focused shows: Ticats
at Noon with Jim Tatti, and Marsh
& Milton, the station’s daily drive home show featuring veteran Hamilton
Spectator sports columnist Steve Milton
and former McMaster Marauders quarterback Marshall Ferguson.
TSN 1150 programmers promise lots of
live sports talk with a focus on Hamilton’s teams, including the Ticats and
McMaster Marauders, as well as the Toronto and Buffalo sports scenes.
“We are thrilled to officially launch
TSN Radio 1150 in Hamilton, and there is no better day to introduce
Hamiltonians to their new all-sports station than the Labour Day Classic,” said
Mike Nabuurs, Program Director, TSN Radio 1150 in Hamilton. “Launching with Ticats
at Noon and Marsh & Milton will allow us to connect with
Hamilton sports fans on one of the city’s biggest sports days. It’s a wonderful
time to be a Hamilton sports fan.”
“Am I excited to hit the airwaves and
spend each day breaking down Hamilton’s pride and joy, the Ticats? Yes Guy!”
said Jim Tatti, host, Ticats at Noon. “Ticats at Noon will be
fans’ #1 source for news, analysis, and discussion surrounding the team.”
“I’ve been part of the local sports
scene longer than I care to mention, and I’m honoured to begin a new era for
sports in Hamilton with the launch of TSN 1150,” said Steve Milton, co-host, Marsh
& Milton. “I look forward to discussing the key issues that matter to
Hamilton sports fans and celebrating the best of this great sports city.”
In May 2015, the Bell Media Radio
confirmed a new multi-year partnership
with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL) that
includes live broadcasts of all Tiger-Cats games as well as additional programming.
